As Americans begin to recognize the benefits of the age old therapy
of hypnosis, it is more frequently being applied to different health
conditions for treatment and solutions. ADHD and ADD are the most common
health conditions found within children today. Within this condition is
an extremely low level of self esteem and this is where hypnosis can
help children create a new positive self esteem level. A child that has
higher levels of self esteem has the ability to achieve and do anything
and everything they want. This provides them a better opportunity to
overcome this condition and move on with their lives.
When you are working with a child and beginning the hypnosis process it
is important to first develop a rapport with the child. As an adult we
generally know right away when we feel comfortable around someone new
and this is even truer with children. If the child is not comfortable
with you or the hypnosis process, it will not be successful. Once you
have achieved this level in the hypnosis process you want to make sure
the child is aware that you are not trying to change them. If they
believe that you are not happy with them than they may not achieve the
positive results through hypnosis with these negative thoughts embedded
in their thoughts. Hypnosis is simply a way to help them live a better
quality of life, not to change their personality.
There are many different hypnotists throughout the USA today who
specialize in what is known as medical hypnosis; these are the
hypnotists you want to look for and trust in to help you help your
child. As a parent, you may be recommended to join in these sessions
with your child to help them feel more comfortable with the situation
and the therapy itself. This can be beneficial for the parent as well to
really learn how their child feels and what they are going through you
can better communicate with them.
Hypnosis is not a therapy where your child will lose control over
themselves. It is simply an altered state of mind where you are
completely relaxed and at peace. This state of mind allows the hypnotist
to reach the depths of your mind and access the subconscious mind.
Within the subconscious is where many of our problems occur and
therefore reaching this area of the brain is the only way to correct
these issues, like self esteem.
If you have a child currently suffering for ADD or ADHD, consider this
natural and alternative therapy as a treatment option. If you do not
have to give your child prescription medications to treat this disorder,
why would you? Hypnosis is completely safe and has been working for
centuries; it is only new to us today because we have ignored these
natural treatments for so long. Check your area for qualified hypnotists
to get the process started!
